Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 13, 2026
Sideverse is operated by 주식회사 파운더스레어 (Founders Lair Co., Ltd.; "we", "us", or "our"), a company registered in the Republic of Korea. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
What we collect
- Account data. Your email address, authentication data, username, and any avatar you upload. Authentication is handled by Supabase.
- Conversation data. For signed-in users, we store your conversations and messages so you can continue and revisit them. Anonymous messages are processed to generate a reply but are not stored by us.
- Purchase data. PayPal processes credit purchases as our payment processor. We receive details such as the amount, transaction reference, and purchase time, but never your card or bank details.
- Technical and analytics data. IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, interactions, cookie identifiers, and server logs.
How we use it
We use personal data to provide and secure Sideverse, manage accounts and credit balances, store conversations, generate character replies, process purchases, understand product usage through PostHog, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
Conversation messages are sent through OpenRouter to AI model providers solely to generate replies. OpenRouter prompt logging is disabled and routing is restricted to zero-data-retention providers; conversation content is not used to train AI models.
Where applicable, we process data to perform our contract with you, for our legitimate interests in operating and improving Sideverse, to comply with law, or with your consent.
We do not sell personal data or use it for third-party advertising.
Who we share it with
We share data only as needed to operate Sideverse:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
- Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
- OpenRouter and its selected AI providers — generating character replies.
- PostHog — cookie-based product analytics hosted in the United States.
- PayPal — payment processing.
We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect Sideverse, our users, or others.
Cookies and analytics
Sideverse uses cookies and similar storage for authentication, security, theme preferences, anonymous message limits, partner referral attribution, and PostHog analytics. You can block or remove cookies through your browser, but some parts of the service may not work properly.
Retention and deletion
We keep personal data for as long as needed to operate Sideverse and meet legal, security, fraud-prevention, and dispute-resolution obligations. You can delete your account from your profile or contact us. We will delete your account, profile, avatar, and stored conversations from active systems, while retaining limited purchase or other records where required by law. If you signed up through a partner site, we also retain a minimal referral record (an internal account identifier, the referring partner, and timestamps) for partner accounting and dispute resolution, for the duration of the partner agreement and its audit period. Backups may persist temporarily until they are overwritten.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data; object to or restrict processing; or withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us below.
International transfers
Our providers may process personal data outside your country, including in the United States. We use providers and safeguards appropriate to the data and applicable law.
Changes
We may update this policy as Sideverse evolves. We will post the current version here and update the date above.
